Description

Supporting Act: The Pines

Already celebrated as a discoverer and interpreter of other artists’ songs, Emmylou Harris has, in the last decade, gained admiration as much for her eloquently straightforward songwriting as for her incomparably expressive singing. Few in pop or country music have achieved such honesty or revealed such maturity in their writing. Forty years into her career, Harris shares the hard-earned wisdom that—hopefully if not inevitably—comes with getting older, though she’s never stopped looking ahead.

Emmylou Harris is a musical icon. She has won 12 Grammy Awards, sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, and was presented with a Pioneer Award at the Academy of Country Music's ACM Honors in Nashville. Harris is touring in support of her recent album Hard Bargain. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album and was named one of the Top 100 Albums of the Year by NPR music listeners.
