Old Gold is celebrating is 60^th year as a University of Iowa singing organization. Old Gold A cappella was born out of the Old Gold Singers, an original student show choir that dates back to 1957. In 2014, the group underwent massive administrative changes and voted to re-brand as an a cappella group, a decision that’s resulted in a unique take on collegiate a cappella. Throughout the year we have performed at the Ronald McDonald House, Greek Life events, Dance Club Benefit Show, Dance Marathon, collaborated with other student organizations on campus and hosted our annual Joint Concert with all other campus a cappella groups as well as Cocoa and Carols. A highlight of the year was meeting the Nationally renowned a cappella group Straight No Chaser at Hancher auditorium. We are now most thrilled to bring our love of music to the historic Englert Theatre downtown for our end of the year concert. The night will be full of friends, fun and of course, music. We will be singing our repertoire from this past year and have much more in store. We hope to see you there!
